A Practical Pre-Delivery Inspection Checklist for Packaged Wastewater Equipment

A structured pre-delivery inspection helps confirm that packaged wastewater treatment equipment is ready for transportation and site installation. It also gives the supplier and project team a common record of the equipment condition, interfaces, and included accessories.

Start by comparing the finished equipment with the approved drawings, process description, and delivery list. Confirm the model, module quantity, overall dimensions, lifting arrangement, and identification marks before checking smaller details.

Inspect the external enclosure, tank surfaces, coating, weld areas, access doors, and protective panels. The finish should be continuous, service openings should operate correctly, and any transport protection should not block required inspection points.

Check every inlet, outlet, vent, drain, air connection, and dosing interface against the project schedule. Connection labels should be readable, temporary covers should be secure, and flange or pipe sizes should match the installation documents.

Review the internal process components that can be inspected safely, including aeration devices, supports, pipelines, valves, media retainers, and sludge-handling connections. Loose parts should be fixed or packed separately to prevent movement during transport.

The electrical and control inspection should cover the cabinet condition, cable entries, terminal labels, protective devices, and basic functional checks.
