Compact Inclined Plate Lamella Clarifier For Water Treatment Plant WWTP

Lamella is a new type of high-efficiency water purification and clarification technology with rapid sedimentation, primarily aimed at removing solids or particulate matter;
It is now widely used in water and wastewater clarification, as well as sludge thickening and clarification reaction treatment;
it has an advantage as the suspended solids concentration increases, allowing all solids that settle within a given time to be easily and economically separated.
 


 

• 1. Good laminar flow state, more stable sedimentation

  Using a parallel inclined plate structure with a large plate spacing, the water flow forms a stable laminar flow state between the plates, resulting in a low Reynolds number and effectively preventing particle resuspension.

• 2. High processing efficiency and strong impact resistance

  Based on the shallow pool principle, utilizing unique water distribution and inclined plate reflocculation, the surface load is 3-5 times that of an inclined tube sedimentation tank, with significantly superior shock load resistance.

• 3. Modular design, occupying a very small area

  With a compact and modular structure, it occupies only 1/25 of the area required by a horizontal sedimentation tank, greatly saving space for civil engineering and making it ideal for renovation projects where land is scarce.

• 4. Equipped with self-cleaning feature, ensuring easier maintenance

  Integrated with an online backwash system, it supports cleaning without stopping water supply and has an optimized sludge discharge system. Compared to inclined tubes that are prone to clogging, the Lameira is less likely to accumulate sludge and has lower maintenance costs.

• 5. Suitable for high loads and wide adaptability

  Although the initial material cost is slightly high, the operating cost is low, making it particularly suitable for complex wastewater treatment and upgrading scenarios involving high loads, oil, or fibrous impurities.

The inclined plate sedimentation tank is a high-efficiency solid-liquid separation device based on lamellar sedimentation theory.
Sewage flows into the tank and passes through a group of closely arranged inclined plates. Under gravity, suspended solids in the wastewater settle onto the plate surfaces, forming sludge that slides down to the sludge hopper at the bottom.
The inclined structure greatly increases the effective sedimentation area and shortens the settling distance of particles, significantly improving separation efficiency while reducing the overall footprint and residence time. Clean water after sedimentation overflows from the top outlet for subsequent treatment.
