The inclined tube (plate) sedimentation tank, developed based on the shallow tank sedimentation theory, is an efficient combined sedimentation device. Its sedimentation zone is equipped with dense inclined tubes or plates, where suspended impurities in the water settle. The water flow rises, while the sludge slides down to the bottom of the tank by gravity and is discharged. This equipment can increase sedimentation efficiency by 50%–60%, and its treatment capacity per unit area is improved by 2–4 times. Different treatment flow rates can be customized according to the quality of raw water. Coagulant is generally required during use.

The inclined tube sedimentation water purification technology involves installing an inclined tube component with a 60° inclination angle above the sludge suspension layer. Suspended solids, solid particles, or coagulated flocs in the raw water gather at the bottom of the inclined tube to form a sludge layer, which then slides down to the suspension layer and sinks into the sludge collection hopper for disposal. The supernatant rises to the clear water zone and can be directly discharged or recycled.
